Berlin Hardwood Components Division

Yoder Lumber’s Berlin, Ohio Hardwood Components Division offers all the services and capabilities you need for custom dimensioned hardwood lumber parts and pre-fabricated components in large volume.

Facility and Products

  • 75,000 square feet of production space

  • 250,000 board foot kiln capacity, with multiple acres of air-drying space

  • Rough mill, automated defecting, multiple gluing lines (up to 16’), moulding, sanding, shaping, and drying

  • Manufacturing glued panels, squares, furniture parts, and finger joint stock in multiple species

  • Stock S4S products in red oak, cherry, poplar, hard maple, and soft maple

  • Custom S4S based upon your manufacturing needs: Contact us for a quote.

Equipment

  • State of the art optimizing cut-off line featuring a Wood Eye Scanner and Talon Saw from Eagle Machinery

  • 4 automated glue clamps, 1 glue clamp with capability to glue long material up to 16’

  • 2 state of art moulders from Kentwood and Diehl

  • Several gang rip saws by Newman and Eagle Machinery and 2 Northfield planers.

  • Kilns:

    • 4 American wood Dryers with total capacity of 250,000 board feet

    • Annual throughput of 3.3 million board feet (2016)
